Over time, these narratives expanded beyond literature, finding new forms and languages in <strong>cinema, music, comics, and other visual and audiovisual media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This volume seeks to bring together <strong>researchers, educators, and scholars<\/strong> interested in critically examining how Gothic and horror aesthetics have been constructed, transformed, and reinterpreted across historical periods and artistic media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book encourages analyses that situate Gothic and horror narratives within their <strong>historical, social, political, and ideological contexts<\/strong>, linking fictional representations to broader processes such as economic transformations, cultural anxieties, power relations, and collective imaginaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Theoretical, historical, comparative, and analytical contributions from the <strong>Humanities, Literature, Film Studies, Cultural Studies, History, and related class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Can Submit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authors with <strong>a minimum academic degree of Master\u2019s<\/strong> (with or without institutional affiliation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chapters may include <strong>co-authorship with PhD candidates, Master\u2019s students, or undergraduate students<\/strong>, provided at least one author holds a Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maximum of <strong>five authors per chapter<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Languages and Multilingual Publication<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submissions accepted in <strong>Portuguese, Spanish, English, or French<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All accepted chapters will be <strong>automatically translated into an additional language<\/strong>, <strong>free of charge<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each chapter receives an <strong>individual DOI<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The e-book will receive an <strong>ISBN registered in Brazil<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator
