Benefits consist of <strong data-start=\"4747\" data-end=\"4810\">discounts or waivers of the Article Processing Charge (APC)<\/strong>, based on the editor\u2019s annual contribution.<\/p><p data-start=\"4863\" data-end=\"4881\"><strong>2. Objectives<\/strong><\/p><ul data-start=\"4882\" data-end=\"5147\"><li data-start=\"4882\" data-end=\"4938\"><p data-start=\"4884\" data-end=\"4938\">Publicly acknowledge the work of scientific editors.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"4939\" data-end=\"5013\"><p data-start=\"4941\" data-end=\"5013\">Encourage continuous and active participation in editorial management.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5014\" data-end=\"5079\"><p data-start=\"5016\" data-end=\"5079\">Provide tangible incentives to recognize academic leadership.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"5080\" data-end=\"5147\"><p data-start=\"5082\" data-end=\"5147\">Strengthen Scientia International\u2019s commitment to open science.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"5154\" data-end=\"5173\"><strong>3. Each phase has clear, measurable, and achievable goals, with fixed quarterly honorariums supplemented by substantial non-financial benefits.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Payments are subject to applicable tax withholdings in the country of the paying source. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for tax compliance in their country of residence. The legal relationship is established through a service provision agreement, governed by the law and jurisdiction defined in the instrument.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Core Principles<\/b><\/h2><h2><b>Transparency<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All compensation criteria, progression goals, and evaluation mechanisms are public, objective, and communicated in advance to the Editors-in-Chief.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Merit and Editorial Quality<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Progression between phases is based on qualitative editorial achievements\u2014indexing, selectivity, internationalization, scientific impact\u2014and not exclusively on the volume of published articles.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Financial Sustainability<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The compensation model is structured to ensure the financial sustainability of Scientia International while offering fair and competitive compensation to Editors-in-Chief.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Equity and Non-Discrimination<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This policy applies equally to all Editors-in-Chief of the Scientia International Journals, regardless of gender, nationality, disciplinary area, or the journal&#8217;s publication model.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Progressive Compensation Structure<\/b><\/h2><h2><b>Phase 1: Initial Implementation (Months 1-12)<\/b><\/h2><p><b>Period:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The first 12 months from the formal appointment of the Editor-in-Chief.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Objective:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Fundamental editorial structuring, formation of the editorial board, establishment of editorial policies, and initial submission acquisition.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Financial Compensation<\/b><\/h2><p><b>Launch Bonus (Phase 1).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Editor-in-Chief will be entitled to a bonus of <\/span><b>\u20ac1,200 (one thousand two hundred euros)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the end of Phase 1, contingent on the formal validation of the fulfillment of all goals. If all goals are met before the end of the period, the bonus becomes immediately payable (early completion).
