Scientia International, a Spanish-Brazilian academic publishing startup based in Spain, officially announces its global call for researchers to join the International Committee of Scientific Reviewers (ICSR). The initiative aims to bring together experts from different fields of knowledge to strengthen open science and ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of academic publications.
Selected reviewers will play a central role in the Open Peer Review model, an innovative system that brings greater transparency and academic recognition. In this model, review reports are published alongside the articles and assigned a unique DOI, which can be cited in CVs, research reports, funding applications, and added to ORCID.
Who can apply
Eligible applicants include PhD holders and specialists with proven expertise in their field, with reading proficiency in English and at least one additional language (Portuguese or Spanish). Previous reviewing or publishing experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Benefits offered
Participation in the Committee is honorary and non-remunerated, but reviewers receive tangible academic benefits:
- Formal recognition: reviewer’s name and affiliation published with the report.
- Unique DOI for each review, integrable with ORCID.
- International certificate of participation in the ICSR.
- Reviewer Rewards Program, which offers:
• 3 reviews/year → Certificate + 25% APC discount
• 6 reviews/year → Certificate + 50% APC discount
• 8 or more reviews/year → Certificate + full APC waiver for one article in the following year
Fields of expertise
The call is open to reviewers from all fields of knowledge, including Humanities, Social Sciences and Education; Linguistics, Literature and Arts; Exact and Earth Sciences; Engineering and Computer Science; Biological and Health Sciences; Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; and Interdisciplinary Research.
