Scientia Global Editions: CLAEC e-Books
Scientia International Press, in partnership with Editora CLAEC (Centro Latino-Americano de Estudos em Cultura), announces the Call for Chapters for the collective volume:
Communication and Presence in Higher Education: mediations, bonds, and formative experiences
This book is part of the Scientia Global Editions: CLAEC e-Books collection and invites scholarly contributions on communication, higher education, institutional belonging, student engagement, academic mediation and formative experiences in contemporary university contexts.
About the Book
Communication has become a central dimension of higher education experiences. In contemporary academic life, the ways students, faculty members and institutions interact are increasingly shaped by digital culture, virtualized relationships, hybrid learning environments and new forms of academic presence.
Communication and Presence in Higher Education: mediations, bonds, and formative experiences brings together studies, experience reports, expanded abstracts and scientific articles dedicated to the analysis of the relationships between communication, higher education and academic formation in contemporary contexts.
The volume approaches communication not only as an instrumental resource for transmitting information, but as a constitutive dimension of university experiences. Communication participates in the construction of bonds, institutional belonging, student engagement, welcoming practices and mediations among students, faculty and institutions.
In dialogue with the challenges posed by digital culture, the virtualization of relationships and the expansion of digital learning and academic interaction environments, the book seeks to examine strategies of humanization, connection and presence in university contexts.
The volume aims to contribute to an interdisciplinary debate on how communication shapes and transforms formative processes in higher education, with attention to institutional practices, pedagogical mediation, academic belonging and the experiences that organize contemporary university life.
