Scientia International is pleased to announce the appointment of new Editors-in-Chief for several journals within the Scientia International Journals network. This marks an important step in the consolidation of the platform’s editorial structure and reinforces its commitment to academic quality, international collaboration, multilingual publishing and open access to scientific knowledge.
The appointments bring together scholars from different countries, disciplines and academic traditions, reflecting the international and interdisciplinary mission of Scientia International. All appointed Editors-in-Chief hold doctoral degrees and will play a strategic role in the development, academic positioning and editorial leadership of their respective journals.
New Editors-in-Chief
Dr. Weldy Saint-Fleur – Scientia International Journal for Agricultural Sciences
Originally from Haiti and based in Canada, Dr. Saint-Fleur is a geographer, researcher and expert in sustainable development, with international experience in scientific research, environmental project management and higher education. His work focuses on socio-ecological vulnerability, climate change adaptation, political ecology, environmental justice and territorial governance.
Dr. Abhishek Kumar – Scientia International Journal for Engineering
Based in India, Dr. Kumar is a postdoctoral researcher in Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, with expertise in nanotechnology, advanced functional materials, environmental remediation, sustainable energy systems, hydrogen generation and storage, CO₂ conversion and wastewater treatment.
Dr. Sandra Santasusagna –Scientia International Journal for Biological Sciences
Based in Spain, Dr. Santasusagna is a PhD scientist with international experience in translational research, scientific writing and editing, biomedical research, regulatory and compliance processes, clinical trial documentation and academic teaching. Her academic background includes Medicine and Translational Research, with a focus on Oncology and Cancer Biology.
Dr. Ringo Benjamim Victor – Scientia International Journal for Earth Sciences
Based in Mozambique, Dr. Victor holds a PhD in Geography from São Paulo State University, UNESP, Brazil, and currently serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment of Universidade Púnguè, in Tete, Mozambique. He is also Director of the Research Centre of Universidade Púnguè and has published scientific articles, book chapters and educational materials in the field of Geography and related areas.
Dr. Michel Goulart da Silva – Scientia International Journal for Human Sciences
Based in Brazil, Dr. Silva holds a PhD in History from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, UFSC, and works at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina, IFC. His research focuses on Political History and Cinema, with publications on dictatorship, cinema, the labour movement, socialism and related themes.
Dr. Rafael Diego Macho Reyes – Scientia International Journal for Interdisciplinary Research
Based in Spain, Dr. Macho Reyes holds a PhD in Languages and Culture from the University of Córdoba, as well as academic training in biotechnology, education, biochemistry, business administration and technical communication. His interdisciplinary background connects scientific communication, education, project management, languages and applied knowledge.
Academic leadership and editorial development
The Editors-in-Chief will be responsible for providing academic and strategic leadership to their journals, contributing to the development of each journal’s scope, thematic sections, editorial board, peer review standards and international positioning.
Their work will be supported by Scientia International’s editorial and technical team, which provides operational support for the OJS platform, editorial workflows, publication processes, DOI assignment, metadata, multilingual publication and institutional communication.

Scientia International Journals adopts an open access publishing model based on academic transparency, international visibility and multilingual dissemination.
The journals publish articles in Portuguese, Spanish and English, provide metadata in multiple languages and adopt Open Peer Review as part of their commitment to a more transparent and collaborative scientific ecosystem.
