#Cultures 2027 – International Online Congress of Studies on Cultures has officially opened its international calls for submissions and partnerships.
The congress invites researchers, students, educators, artists, cultural managers, professionals, research groups, graduate programmes, academic networks and institutions from different countries to participate in its scientific and institutional development.
Organised by the Latin American Center for Cultural Studies – CLAEC y Scientia Internacional, #Cultures 2027 will take place entirely online from 6 to 9 April 2027.
Different ways to participate in #Cultures 2027
The new edition offers several participation pathways designed for individuals, academic collectives and institutions. All official calls are available through a central page on the congress platform.

Call for Submissions
The Call for Submissions is open to researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, educators, artists, curators, cultural managers, professionals and cultural agents interested in presenting scientific, pedagogical, artistic or professional contributions.
Submissions must be connected to one of the eight thematic axes of the congress. Seven formats are accepted:
- Scientific Research;
- Experience Report;
- Cultural Practice;
- Critical Essay;
- Pedagogical Letter;
- Artistic Creation;
- Performance or Intervention.
Fully validated submissions will be evaluated through a continuous open peer-review process. Contributions that are accepted, presented and approved for publication may be included in the digital congress proceedings with an individual DOI.
Final submission deadline: 28 February 2027.

Thematic Axis Partnerships
The Call for Thematic Axis Partnerships is intended for researchers, research groups, laboratories, graduate programmes and academic networks interested in contributing directly to the scientific development of the congress.
Selected partners will be invited to join the Scientific Committee of one of the eight thematic axes and submit a proposal for an academic activity that may be included in the congress programme.
Possible activities include panels, round tables, conferences, thematic dialogues, workshops and other online academic formats compatible with the congress proposal.

Asociaciones Institucionales
Universities, graduate programmes, research centres, scientific associations, academic networks, cultural organisations and other eligible institutions may join #Cultures 2027 as institutional partners.
The partnership has a non-financial character and is based on institutional cooperation, scientific integration, dissemination and participation in the international congress network.
Approved institutions may receive visibility in official materials and offer registration benefits to eligible students, researchers, faculty members and other affiliates.

Participation as an attendee
Participants may also attend #Cultures 2027 without submitting or co-authoring a contribution.
Attendee registration provides access to conferences, panels, thematic sessions, debates and cultural activities throughout the online programme.
Eligible participants may receive an international 40-hour participation certificate, subject to the attendance and certification requirements established by the congress.

About #Cultures 2027
The congress is conceived as a permanent digital forum where cultures meet, speak and reshape one another through research, pedagogy, artistic practice, critical reflection, institutional experience and public debate.
The central theme of the 2027 edition is “Cultures in the Reconfiguration of the World Order”, with the subtitle “Conflicts, Mobilities and Pluralities in the 21st Century”.
The fully online format enables transnational participation, open scientific circulation and continued visibility through digital proceedings and post-event publication opportunities.
